Bull fire in Bylas at 180 acres, 0-percent containment

BYLAS — A wildfire is burning near White City in Bylas.

The Bull fire was discovered March 29 and has grown to 180 acres with 0-percent containment. It is near the riverbed below White City, burning brush, and there is currently no threat to structures.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.

San Carlos Apache Forest Resource Program currently has four engines battling the fire, with one air attack requested.

The San Carlos Apache Reservation is at Stage 2 fire restrictions, which means campfires are not allowed, including at developed campgrounds and improved sites.
