SAFFORD — There are a few spots remaining in local blood drives this week, but donors need to act fast to secure an appointment to give.

On Thursday, Sept. 28, Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. And on Friday, Sept. 29, the Gila Valley Ministerial Association will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

There are three local chances to donate in October — at the City of Safford’s Public Works administration building on Discovery Park Boulevard, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 4; at DRG Technologies, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 24; and at Safford High School, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 27.

Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended due to increased demand to donate. To pre-register, go to https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time.
