ATV accidents injure two

BONITA — A man and woman were injured in two separate all-terrain vehicle accidents on Halloween morning.

According to Graham County Sheriff’s deputy reports, the first occurred just after 8 a.m., when a woman rolled her four-wheeler in the area of West Mohave Street. A witness said the woman was returning to her home when she swerved and rolled the vehicle.

She suffered a laceration to her head and was transported via ground ambulance to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center.

The second incident occurred at 10:49 a.m. at the intersection of Ash Creek and Sunset Loop, in the Coronado National Forest.

An ATV ridden by two men rolled end-over-end down a hill after the driver attempted to turn around on a narrow roadway.

The driver was thrown from the vehicle but the passenger was trapped underneath during the fall, with witnesses saying he was “crushed under it several times.”

The injured passenger was transported via Lifenet helicopter to Tucson Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The driver refused medical attention.
