SAFFORD — The warrant for an arrest scam is making the rounds again.
Safford Police are warning the public that scammers are calling residents, claiming to be with the department and claiming the victim has a warrant for his or her arrest, then demand money or personal financial information to make the warrant go away.
Arrest warrants are served in person and Safford Police does not phone solicit for any money or fine settlements
Safford PD advises the public to hang up immediately and report the scam by calling Graham County Dispatch at 928-428-0808.
