Arizona ranks third on the list for Super Bowl Sick Monday

While millions of people looked forward to the Super Bowl last Sunday, many dreaded going back to work the next day. On Monday, February 12th, many Americans called in sick to work on what has historically been the biggest “sick day” of the year. This phenomenon is not caused by a cold or cough, but perhaps a collective feeling of wanting to recover the day after the Big Game. In the past, an estimated 16.1 million Americans missed work the day after the Super Bowl, with 8 million scheduling the day off in advance! The day has come to be known as Super Bowl Sick Monday.
