Arizona Is 2024’s State with the 10th Most Underprivileged Children – WalletHub Study

With August being Child Support Awareness Month and 1 in 6 children in the U.S. living in poverty, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on the States With the Most Underprivileged Children in 2024, as well as expert commentary, to show where we need to improve conditions for our nation’s youth.
 
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 25 key metrics. The data set ranges from the share of children in households with below-poverty income to the share of maltreated children to the rates of child mortality and food insecurity.
