PIMA — In its most recent newsletter, the Eastern Arizona Museum and Historical Society announced it is the recipient of a $1,000 grant from the Arizona Historical Society.
The money will be used to purchase a hands-free scanner to be used for the digital archival of larger photos, two-page spreads in books and other records. Any remaining funds will be used to purchase archival storage cases.
The museum also announced it will conduct two holiday bazaars — the first Nov. 18-19, and the second Dec. 16-17. Vintage books and magazines will be for sale, as well as contemporary publications, and home-made crafts and baked goods.
Funds raised from the bazaars will be used to maintain the museum as well as help in the replacement of the roof of the Carter Farm Museum.
