All Bulldog Reunion descends on Safford this weekend

SAFFORD —It’s going to be busy in the Gila Valley this weekend.

In addition to the 19th annual SalsaFest — Year of the Mariachi  in Safford’s Downtown, and the Hispanic Heritage Corporation Dinner and Show at Eastern Arizona College, the Safford High School All Bulldog Reunion will take place.

Activities begin Friday at 10 a.m. with the opening of the Memorabilia Room and Silent Auction in the Safford High School small gymnasium.

At 4 p.m., alumni can enjoy dinner from food trucks in the Safford High School south parking lot, before enjoying the homecoming football game between the Bulldogs and the San Tan Valley Sabercats.

The All Bulldog Reunion Parade kicks things off Saturday, at 9 a.m. The parade starts from Safford High School on 14th Avenue north to 10th Street, east to 10th Avenue, south to Relation Street and then north on 14th Avenue back to the school.

The Memorabilia Room and Silent Auction reopens at 10 a.m. in the high school small gymnasium, followed by a pep assembly in the large gymnasium at 10:30 a.m.

Organized activities wrap at 2 p.m., with the Bulldog Memories video and music presentation at the David M. Player Center for the Performing Arts.

All moneys raised will benefit the Safford High School Scholarship Foundation.
