Alfonso M. “Al” Vasquez, 75, of Safford, passed away peacefully in his home September 24, 2015. He was born November 24, 1939, in Morenci, Arizona.
He is survived by: his brother, Robert M (Ann) Vasquez; his four children, Larry Vasquez, Mark (Cecilia)Vasquez, Nora (Richard) Gann, Jimmy Vasquez; his 4 grandchildren, Sally (Logan) King, Martin (Summer) Delgado, Anthony Bracamonte and Jimmy Michael Vasquez; and his 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Carolina “Carol” Juliana Vasquez; his brother, Manuel M. Vasquez; and his parents, Abelino Jr. And Rosario M. Vasquez.
Al was a loving husband, dad,“tata”, brother and friend. Al was loved by so many for his “corny” sense of humor, his kind spirit and amazing smile. Al loved the Lord with all his heart, he was a man of God’s Word and a dedicated servant. Many know Al as the “Barber,” he spent over 50 years of his life in this career and continued to serve others with his talent.
Funeral services for Alfonso M. Vasquez will be conducted Saturday October 3, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at The River Community Church by Pastor David Chapman. Concluding services will follow at the Safford Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Saturday Morning, October 3, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at The River Community Church.
