Albert Wayne McLemore

Albert Wayne McLemore of Clifton entered into eternal life Wednesday morning, February 28, 2024, with his family by his side, at Tucson Medical Center after suffering a heart attack.

Son of Victoria Cabrera McLemore and Denver Lee McLemore, Albert was born in El Paso, Texas on February 6,1970. He just celebrated his 54th birthday.

Albert lived in El Paso until he was 17 years old and moved to Morenci with his dad to finish school. Albert was never one for ceremonies and formal events, and he refused to attend his own high school graduation. He was told he wouldn’t get his diploma and he said it didn’t make a difference to him. To this day he never received his official diploma.

Albert & his dad worked together as landscapers for a short time then Albert got a job at Phelps Dodge Mining Corporation. Soon after that he and the girl from a few houses down the road started talking and later fell in love. That girl was Tiffany Gonzales. Tiffany & Albert were married in 1995. In 1996, their first-born son, Nathan was born. Albert was accepted into the electrical apprenticeship at Phelps Dodge and became a journeyman electrician.

In 1999 Albert and Tiffany welcomed their second son Joshua. Albert was a quiet, private man & in 2000 he bought a home in the country to raise his young boys. Albert was loyal to his family that he protected and cared for. He was hard working and dedicated to his trade. He worked for PD/FMI for 34 years. One of his brother-in-law’s would always say Albert was one of the smartest electricians up at the mine. He was also creative and resourceful. Although Albert was not a man of many words in social or public gatherings, he was very observant which made him a good judge of character.

Albert had a rough and tough persona, however there was a gentle side of him. When his nieces were born, his family saw a playful, and generous side of him. That loving character continued when his grand daughters were born. He loved the outdoors, camping with family, trout fishing and hunting. Albert was known to be tight with money but when a family member was in time of need, or a graduation or wedding came for a niece or nephew he gave generously. He will be remembered fondly for his laugh & patriotism.

Albert is survived by: his loving wife, Tiffany; and his sons, Nathan (Shelby), of Pima, Joshua (Jolene), of Duncan, Joey Langston, of Texas; and his daughter, Megan Langston, of Texas; granddaughters, Scarlett, Reagan, Evelyn and Madison; grandsons, Liam and Jackson; his mother, Victoria; and two brothers, Robert and Roy. Albert was welcomed into Heaven by: his father, Denver Lee McLemore; his father-in-law, Pat Gonzales; and a sister-in-law, Arianna Gonzales.

Albert was a deeply beloved husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, friend and co-worker. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Albert and his medical team fought hard to keep him here on Earth with his family, but God had different plans for him. He will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian burial for Albert will be celebrated Friday morning, March 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morenci by Rev. Nathanial Mma. Committal will follow in the Ward Canyon Cemetery in Clifton.
