Phoenix, AZ—The 2025 tax season begins on Monday, January 27, and the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is pleased to continue its participation in the IRS Direct File program, offering eligible Arizona taxpayers the opportunity to file their taxes online for FREE.

ADOR and Code for America will host a virtual demonstration of the Arizona Direct File platform for members of the media. Following the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of ADOR and platform developer, Code for America.

This year, the program will be expanded to include more types of income, deductions and credits, and it will be available on day one of tax filing season. An estimated 1.7 million Arizona taxpayers will be eligible to use the tool.

The meeting will be recorded and participants will be given the recording for use in print or broadcast.
