WILLCOX — A Willcox woman is facing charges after colliding her vehicle with a school bus filled with children.
Cochise County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred on North Fort Grant Road near Ingram, at about 4 p.m. on Sept. 9. The bus was stopped, had the stop sign extended and had lights flashing. The woman’s vehicle reportedly collided with the rear driver’s side of the bus.
Sheriff’s deputies said the woman appeared impaired and she was transported to a Tucson hospital for evaluation.
A few children on the bus were treated on scene following complaints of headaches and dizziness, and then released to parents.
The woman was cited for DUI, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license and released.
