SAFFORD — Work on constructing new passing lanes on “The Straight” between Safford and Clifton begins Thursday.
Arizona Department of Transportation announced that intermittent lane closures will occur while work takes place on U.S. Highway 191, between mileposts 132-135.
Alternating north- and southbound lane closures will take place Mondays through Thursdays, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day; and Fridays, from 6 a.m. to noon.
Flaggers will be onsite to help direct motorists and speed will be reduced in the work zones.
