SAFFORD — A musician is coming home to help two local nonprofits.
Country Moonshine will play two concerts at Sarah’s Bullpen to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of the Gila Valley on June 26, and Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry on June 27.
In addition, the band has donated a new Gretsch guitar to be raffled, with proceeds split between the two nonprofits.
Country Moonshine is Dr. Don and Amy Kordosky. Don is a 1981 graduate of Safford High School and has previously played fund-raisers to help local causes, including Secret Soldiers Foundation and Nathaniel’s Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Country Moonshine will be playing locally for the first time since 2022. After Safford, the band will play in Nashville, Oklahoma and Oregon.
Don also released a new non-fiction book this year, “Hunting with the Elk Man,” which is available at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon.
