BYLAS — San Carlos Apache Police have taken into custody the suspect in an assault in the Bylas area.
The suspect has been identified as Angel Stevens, 24.
It’s the third violent incident in the Bylas area this month. On March 6 a 20-year-old man was shot to death, and on March 12 a 42-year-old man was stabbed to death.
As a result of the incidents, the San Carlos Apache Tribal Council instituted a curfew for the Bylas District, prohibiting outside activity between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. daily through March 29.
