THATCHER — Nathaniel’s Childhood Cancer Foundation has announced the beneficiary of this year’s Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Color Run.
The run will raise funds for Lync Brawley, 9, who was diagnosed this past October with medulloblastoma.
“After his surgery, he developed posterior facet syndrome. Which meant he had to relearn basic skills, like walking, talking, using the bathroom and fine motor skills, too,” said Nathaniel’s Childhood Cancer Foundation board member Torey Cranford
The event is Saturday, Feb. 28, at the middle campus of Eastern Arizona College, starting at the Layton House. The 1-mile Fun Run starts at 9 a.m., with the chip-timed 5k starting at 9:30.
Cost to participate is $22 for the Fun Run and $30 for the 5k.
