Tucson, Ariz. — The Coronado National Forest is hiring seasonal employees and is encouraging local residents to apply at USAJobs.gov, starting February 20, 2026.

With the addition of seasonal employees, we can continue to provide premier recreational opportunities and experiences for visitors while supporting the active management of the Coronado National Forest,” said Forest Supervisor Kerwin S. Dewberry. “Our focus is on local hires already passionate about their public lands. We encourage those interested to apply and take their first step into a career in natural resources.”
The Coronado National Forest is recruiting for GS-04/05/06 Forestry Technician positions in Recreation and Range. Locations include:
- Tucson – Situated at the Santa Catalina Ranger District Office at Sabino Canyon, 5700 N. Sabino Canyon Rd., Tucson, AZ 85750.
- Nogales – Nogales Ranger District Office, 303 Old Tucson Rd. Nogales, AZ 85621.
- Douglas – Douglas Ranger District Office, 1192 West Saddleview Rd., Douglas, AZ 85607.
- Hereford – Situated at the Sierra Vista Ranger District Office, in a shared facility with the Bureau of Land Management, 4070 South Avenida Saracino, Hereford, AZ 85615.
- Safford – Situated at the Safford Ranger District Office, in a shared facility with the Bureau of Land Management, 711 14th Avenue Suite D, Safford, AZ 85546.
These positions are in addition to the seasonal fire-hire events already underway.
