GRAHAM COUNTY — Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting involving a Graham County Sheriff’s deputy.
In a text to Gila Valley Central, Graham County Sheriff P.J. Allred said the incident occurred the evening of Sunday, Dec. 28.
“It happened behind Jobi’s, in the neighborhood west of Jobi’s,” Allred said, adding that no deputies were injured in the incident.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said the incident occurred at 11:48 p.m., and the suspect, a 34-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
No other information has yet been made available. DPS Major Incident Division is investigating.
