People come home to find an intruder in their house

A man called the sheriff’s office Wednesday night to report an intruder he found in his home. The man told the responding officer that he and his wife came home at approximately 5:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, then went into town. When they came home they went to an addition of the home. A room mate came home later and reportedly found an intruder sitting in a chair in one of the bedrooms. The couple told responding deputies that they do not lock their doors.

The man was apparently acting strange and told the residents of the home that he was from California and was running and hiding from someone. They told the man he did not belong there and had to leave. The intruder then left the house on foot. He is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with shaggy hair, wearing a brown shirt, jeans and a brown cowboy hat with a feather in it.

The reporting party said that nothing was missing or damaged, but if the intruder is found they want to press charges. A deputy patrolled the area for 30 minutes but never found a suspect.
