SAFFORD — Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center is ready to celebrate its most recent accomplishment.
The hospital will honor its trauma team with a recognition celebration Tuesday, July 8, starting at 5 p.m.
MGRMC is now one of just nine hospitals in Arizona designated as a Level 3 trauma center, having been moved up from a Level 4 trauma center on May 16.
According to the American Trauma Society, a Level 3 trauma center can “provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients and emergency operations.”
Emergency medicine physicians must be available 24 hours, and there be prompt access to general surgeons and anesthesiologists.
