CLIFTON — The Town of Clifton is looking for someone who wants to serve the community.
The Town announced it is accepting application for appointment to the Town Council, following the resignation of Janeene Carrillo.
Carrillo, first elected to the Town Council in 2022, has accepted a position in Tucson.
Applicants have until June 30 to submit a letter of interest explaining why they want to serve, as well as their background and expertise.
The applicant selected will serve out the remainder of Carrillo’s term, which expires in December 2026.
Letters may be hand-delivered at Town Hall, 510 N. Coronado Blvd.; or e-mailed to townclerk@cliftonaz.gov.
It’s the second appoint the Town Council is being asked to make over the last six months. In January, the Council selected Rev. Chad Brown to serve a full four-year term, following the death of Emily Munoz.
Munoz had been elected to the Town Council in 2024, but passed away before she could serve.
