SAFFORD — The Arizona Department of Transportation will be conducting maintenance on traffic signal cabinets over the next few weeks.
The result will be the signal turned off at intersections throughout Safford, with law enforcement directing traffic through the areas.
Work will take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and 8th Avenue
- Thursday, May 8, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and 5th Avenue
- Tuesday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and 14th Avenue
- Tuesday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and 20th Avenue
Motorists are advised to expect delays, asked to slow down and use caution when traveling through the area. Use of an alternate route, if possible, is advised.
