SAFFORD — Safford and Clifton will be two of the locations for the National Day of Action protests planned for across the nation Thursday.
The Safford protest will start at 11 a.m. and take place on the corner of U.S. Highway 70 and 20th Avenue. The Clifton protest starts at 4 p.m. and will take place in Veterans park.
The National Day of Action is being organized to protest the policies of President Trump his administration.
On the website mobilize.us, the events across the country are described as “working people . . . rising up. We are demanding a country that puts our families over their fortunes, public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, (and) housing over homelessness.”
