SAFFORD — There’s still time to register a float in the 27th annual Country Financial Holiday Light Parade on Safford’s Main Street.
The deadline to enter the parade has been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 11. To enter e-mail mruiz@saffordaz.gov.
The theme this year is “Christmas Around the World.”
The event begins at 4 p.m., when Santa Claus returns to the historic Safford Theatre to meet with boys and girls. Santa will be at the theatre until 5:45.
At 5 p.m., entertainment will take place at the Kempton Chevrolet Stage, across from the lawn in front of Safford City Hall.
The Kempton Chevrolet Stage will also serve as the judges’ and announcers’ stand when the parade begins at full sunset.
The Holiday Light Parade is sponsored by Country Financial, Kempton Chevrolet, CMI, The Safford Downtown Association, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Safford.
