THATCHER — The Town of Thatcher announced that the widening of 8th Street will result in a full closure of the street in both directions for one day next week.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the roadway will be closed in both directions between Bauer and 1st avenues. The closure will run from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Last year, the state allocated $4.5 million to the town for the widening of 8th Street, between 20th Avenue and 1st Avenue.
