Nonagenarian claims he was head-butted

GRAHAM COUNTY —  A 92-year-old man told Graham County Sheriff’s personnel he was assaulted, but by who  changed depending on with whom the man was talking.

When the call came into dispatch on Aug. 23, he said he was assaulted by his male roommate.

But when deputies arrives to the home on Cactus Street, the victim said he was struck by a woman, who first slapped him across the face and then head-butted him in the forehead.

The woman said there was no physical altercation. The man went out to check the mail, and when he didn’t return she went to look and found him at a neighbor’s house.

Deputies said there was some dried blood on the inside of the victim’s lip, but the victim said his gums occasionally bleed.

With no witnesses, and seeing no evidence of an assault, deputies left the scene after telling the two to give each other space.
