Safford bringing Cruizin’ event back to Main Street in September

SAFFORD — Cruizin’ is coming back one more time.

The City of Safford announced that Cruizin’ Main will return to Safford’s Downtown Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8-10 p.m.

“This is an event that has roots, it has heritage, it has cultural backdrop,” said City Manager John Cassella. “These are exactly the kind of events you want to be encouraging.”

Drivers are encouraged to slowly drive Safford’s Main Street, showing off their vehicles to the appreciative onlookers. All types of vehicles are welcome — trucks, UTVs and motorcycles, as well as classic cars and lowriders.

In addition to showing off their vehicles, drivers will be able to pre-register for the SalsaFest Car Show, in front of Briscoe’s Tattoo Shop, and get a $10 discount on the registration fee.

The event is co-sponsored by the Safford Police Department, in partnership with Briscoe’s Tattoo Shop.
