Maurine Allred, a resident of Thatcher, passed into eternal life Tuesday morning, August 13, 2024, at her residence, with her eternal companion, Tracy, and their children at her side. Maurine was 63.
Maurine was born on August 5, 1961, to Lavell and Arlene Haymore in Douglas, Arizona, where she was raised. Maurine was sealed to her eternal companion and best friend Tracy Allred in the Mesa AZ Temple on July 3, 1981. Together they raised their five children in Thatcher. In Maurine’s 43 years as a resident of Thatcher, she has touched the lives of many as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and educator.
She was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. The impact that she left on everyone she came in contact with, left them with the desire to be the best version of themselves. Her desire to serve was infinite and she particularly loved her time served in the temple. Her testimony of her savior and the gospel of Jesus Christ radiated from her. Her knowledge in the plan of salvation left her knowing that families will be together forever.
Funeral services for Maurine were conducted Saturday afternoon, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Thatcher Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Shawn Turley of the Thatcher Sixth Ward. Concluding services followed in the Thatcher Cemetery.
