Lori Nicole Wilhelm, known in later life as Harvey, was born February 17, 1998, in Mesa, Arizona, to Jared and Karen Wilhelm and is a sibling to; Michael, Rachel, Jessica, and Tara. Lori passed away peacefully on the evening of August 2, 2024.
She grew up in Mesa, Arizona, in her early years before moving to Safford, Arizona. Lori graduated from Thatcher High School and later attended Eastern Arizona College where she graduated with an AAS, and a level two CAD certificate. After working in the civil engineering field in Safford, she moved to Phoenix to continue her career in the field.
While living in Safford, Lori lovingly adopted a cat named James and a stray dog named Bear. Lori had an immense love for all animals and in her younger years was known as a wild cat whisperer. Not only was Lori tenderhearted towards animals, she showed compassion to each person she met. She always watched and looked out for ways she could help those around her, especially the homeless. Lori was an avid urban explorer who sought out beauty and art all around her. She was a creator of worlds and dynamic story teller. Lori Nicole Wilhelm was a dear friend, an accomplished artist, an avid reader, generous soul, fiercely independent, and a courageous warrior.
A visitation will be at the Vining Funeral Home,1940 S 20th Ave, Safford, AZ 85546 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 10-11am, with the Memorial Service for family and friends immediately following. Interment will follow in a private service on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Lakeside, Arizona. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate towards the funeral expenses, or a charity that serves the homeless or animals in her name.
