Joshua Turner, known to all as Josh, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Safford. He was 50.
Joshua Thomas Turner was born April 25, 1974, in Safford, Arizona, to Patricia Hawkins-Dominguez. At the time of his birth, he joined brother; David Turner, later welcoming a sister; Brittney Dominguez.
At age 14, Josh met his young love, Stephanie Lee. He went on many camping trips and vacations with the Lee Family. That love turned into more when they welcomed their first daughter; Cortney on May 5, 1992. Josh graduated with the Thatcher class of 1993 and then went on to marry his love on November 27, 1993.
Josh and Stephanie both worked hard, eventually buying a home in Safford. Shortly after they brought home a son; Kyle, born March 19, 1997. They went on as a family of four until they completed their family with another daughter; Kaylee, born October 9, 1998.
Josh and Stephanie went on many adventures throughout the years and enjoyed every minute of them. Josh and Stephanie’s family grew much more when their children brought home, sons-in-law; Chance Norton and Sergio Aguinaga, as well as a daughter-in-law; Rachel Barnett. With those new additions to the Turner Family came seven grandchildren: Lucas, Gavin, Aniyah, Bentley, Brady, Sophia, and Stetson.
Josh was preceded in death by: his father-in-law, who was a father to him, Jay Lee; grandparents, Emert and Glenna Hawkins; a nephew, Dustin Hollowell.
Josh is survived by: his wife of 30 years, Stephanie Turner; his children, Cortney (Chance) Norton, Kyle (Rachel Barnett) Turner, and Kaylee Turner (Sergio Aguinaga); grandchildren, Lucas, Gavin, Aniyah, Bentley, Brady, Sophia, and Stetson; mother-in-law, Needra Lee; sisters-in-law, Becky Lee, Tabitha (Mike) Mauldin, Sabrina (Angelo) Stratton, Laura (Jeb) Hollowell; mother, Patricia Hawkins-Dominguez; brother, David Turner; sister, Brittney (Ronnie) Gutierrez; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Josh will be conducted Monday, June 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pima Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop JJ Alder of the Pima 2nd Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Monday morning, June 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., in the Junior Sunday School room in the Pima Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
