SAFFORD — Trash pick-up during the holidays will change slightly in Safford, while things will remain the same in Thatcher.
Safford is closing its city offices Thursday, Dec. 23 — a day earlier than normal — for the Christmas holiday. Which means those who get their trash picked up on Thursday will have it picked up Wednesday, Dec. 22 instead.
While Thatcher is also closing the town offices Thursday, the town has announced no changes in the trash pick-up schedule. So those who get a trash pick-up on Thursday will still need to place their bins by the curb or risk missing the pick-up.
The same scenario will apply in both communities on Thursday, Dec. 30, for the New Year’s holiday.
