SAFFORD – The 93rd Annual Meeting of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am at the Assembly Room of the Graham County General Services Building located at 921 W Thatcher Boulevard in Safford.
The come-and-go meeting will be a chance for current and prospective Chamber Members to talk with the Board of Directors and staff, have a delicious breakfast catered by Ginaveve’s Market Place, as well as vote for new board members and amendments to the Chamber by-laws. There are two vacancies on the Board and four nominees. The nominees are Holli Brown, owner of The Parlor Hair & Body Salon, Torey Cranford, founder and owner of Cakes with TLC, Sarah Henderson, owner of Sarah’s Bullpen, and Sean Lewis, manager of the Town of Pima.
The Chamber staff will update contact information for members and introduce them to the new, board approved, value-based chamber memberships. Instead of memberships based on the number of employees a business has, members can choose their level of investment in the chamber. Executive Director Vance Bryce is very excited about the new member benefits and options. “One of the new options we added is the ‘Start-up Membership,’ which is designed for businesses that were founded in the last three years,” Bryce said. “Start-up members will be introduced to mentors and resources to help them succeed. When our Marketing Director, Bri Morris, started her massage therapy business, she could not afford to join the chamber. With that feedback in mind, the board agreed to annual memberships of $5.00 monthly or $54.00 annually for these new business owners.”
Members who are not able to attend the Annual Meeting can update their information, get updated on the value-based memberships, and vote in person at the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1051 W Thatcher Boulevard in Safford, or over the phone, or via an online form. All ballots must be turned in by Monday, December 2 at 5:00 pm.
