SAFFORD — Sinew Athletic is bringing three-on-three basketball back to the Gila Valley.
The second annual Three-on-Three Tournament is moving locations and going indoors this year, with play in the Safford High School gymnasium June 25.
“We’re doing four-man teams, three play and we’re allowing subs between rounds. People get tired, we understand that,” said co-organizer Jesus Llamas.
Llamas and co-organizer Sergio Sanchez announced that funds this year will be used to purchase back-to-school items for area children.
Cost is $60 per team and games will start at 10 a.m. Tournament games will be 20 minutes and the tournament is double elimination. The top three teams will receive prizes, including a three-month free membership to JD3 for winning team members.
There will also be live music, food vendors, raffles and each team will receive free tumblers.
Sponsors include The Positive Gaines, Shining Times Carwash, Gila Valley Made and Gila Repair.
