PERIDOT — Two juveniles are in custody for a string of burglaries on the San Carlos Apache Reservation.

San Carlos Apache Police Department reported the burglaries took place in the residential areas of Hollywood Ridge and Old Moon Base Road.

Working with Game and Fish, officers were able to identify a juvenile male believed to be the lead suspect in the crimes. That lead to additional information identifying a second male juvenile alleged to have assisted the break-ins.

San Carlos Police officers and Game and Fish rangers were then tipped to a home in Hollywood Ridge, where a search consented by the homeowner turned up the stolen items.

On Aug. 30 the juveniles were charged with burglary and taken into custody, and the stolen items returned to the victims.
