Russellene Clifford

Russellene Clifford, a resident of Chino Valley and formerly of Safford, entered into eternal life Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024, at the Haven of Sedona, following a decline in health. Russellene was 72.

Russellene Murdock born December 23, 1951, to Russell and Betty Murdoch in Safford, Arizona. She lived in Safford until she was two years old then the family moved to Yuma, Arizona. She spent much of her young age in Yuma when she was 15 years old the family moved back to Safford. She graduated from Safford High School in 1969. She attended Eastern Arizona College for a few years. She married Max Clifford on February 2, 1971. They raised their family in Safford and lived there until in 2007 when they moved to Wheatland WY. After being in Wyoming for four years they move to Chino Valley, Arizona.

Russellene took an EMT course at Eastern Arizona College and was certified as an EMT. She worked on the ambulance service in Safford and also at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center.

She had many talents that she loved to use throughout her lifetime. Russellene loved to decorate cakes and some of which were wedding cakes. She was talented painter and did calligraphy and use these skills for herself and her family.

Her hobbies were decorating cakes, painting and riding horses. Russellene loved to care for her dogs and took them everywhere she went.

Russellene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her lifetime. The ones that she probably enjoyed the most was when she was working with the youth. She loved going to girls camp each summer. She also was called as a Primary President for the handicapped children in the Thatcher and Safford stakes.

Russellene is survived by: her husband, Max Clifford; six children, Rustin Clifford, Katie Bush, Jennifer Clifford, Ryan Clifford, Kameron Clifford and Kara Hatch; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Russellene will be conducted Friday morning, June 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Thatcher Cemetery.
