Man suffers punctured arm in ATV rollover

GRAHAM COUNTY — Going too fast up a hill on an ATV resulted in one man going to the hospital with an arm injury.

Deputies encountered an ATV resting on the driver’s side and three males. Two were fine but one appeared to be bleeding from the right arm. He had tied a shirt around the arm in an effort to stop the bleeding.

The driver said they had been riding in the area and, when they reached the top of Clay Knolls, had attempted a turn too fast, causing the vehicle to roll.

The injured man was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, where it was determined he suffered a puncture to the arm, Hospital personnel said surgery might be needed due to the injury and possibility of broken bones.

The vehicle was able to be driven back home and there were no citations issued in the incident.
