Anne Thurman was born July 22, 1958, in Compton, California, to John and Doris Frank. She went to be with Jesus on June 12, 2024.
Anne is the wife of now retired Duncan Fire Captain Don Thurman. She was a schoolteacher and served a term as the Mayor of Duncan. Anne took great pride in everything that she did. She loved her community and worked hard to take care of it. She was a patriot; her love for our country and our state was unmatched. She also loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Anyone who encountered Anne knew those three things. She was strong willed but very kindhearted.
She is survived by: her husband, Donald Thurman; her nieces, Larecia and Jamie; their children, Keenan, Shayna, Mykah, Soloman, and Savanah; and her many friends.
She is preceded in death by: her father, mother, sister, brother, her first husband, and her brother-in-law.
Funeral services for Anne will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the East Gate Church in Duncan by Pastor Phil Tutor. Concluding services will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
