Jeff ¨Tiger¨ Granatowski

Jeff ¨Tiger¨ Granatowski, 59, passed away September 16, 2024, in Sierra Vista, AZ. He was a beloved father, brother, husband, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeff was born June 19,1965 to Joseph and Ann Granatowski in West Bend, WI. He was the youngest of six children and was very close to his brothers and sisters. In 1967 the Granatowski family moved to Tucson, AZ and then to Safford in 1975. He grew up on Jackrabbit Road with his two sisters, Jill and Janice, and two brothers, Joe and Jim. In his teenage years, he worked with his father and brothers for the family concrete and construction business. He took what his father taught him and continued to work in construction the rest of his life. He spent many years working for Eddie Deanda Construction, Brown and Root, Sundt, and Bowen Contractors.

In the beginning of 1984, Jeff met Tracie Johnson on Main Street in Safford and quickly fell in love and was married on September 15, 1984. Over the next several years they welcomed their five children, Jolee Colleen, Krisha Lynn, Alesha Junell, Anthony Jeff and Jeremiah Johnson Granatowski. Jeff was a music lover and especially loved his guitar, ¨Emily.¨ It didn’t matter the time of day, he was always ready to play. He and his brothers Joe and Jim made their own band and debuted ¨Rudder Man¨ in 1997 with his daughters and nieces singing backup.

He passed on his love of music to his grandkids and would teach them to play any chance he got. He enjoyed playing cribbage and taught all of his grandkids how to play to win. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and spent every Sunday cheering on his team. During the games, he would ¨call¨ the coaches on the sidelines and tell them which play to run next and had his kids believing that their dad was part of the team. He spent the last few years of his life living in Sierra Vista with his wife Lee McCoy. He was so very loving, carefree and energetic and his smile and laughter would fill the room. You were always guaranteed a good laugh when he was around. He will be greatly missed, and his memory cherished by all who knew him.

Jeff was preceded in death by: his father, Joseph Granatowski; his mother, Ann Granatowski, his brothers, John and Joe Granatowski; and his son, Anthony Jeff Granatowski.
