SAFFORD – This Wednesday, July 12 at 1 p.m., all ages are welcome to come to the Safford City-Graham County Library try out Zumba with local instructor, Maria Kouts.  Preschoolers to retirees can enjoy this free, fun and energetic workout based on Latin rhythms, and it is sure to make you thirsty.

Speaking of water, the library will have other activities this Wednesday designed to help you lower your water bill.  The “Leaky House” will be parked in front of the library with real-world examples of water waste and conservation.  An expert from the city of Safford will be on hand at 1 p.m. to answer any questions that you may have on making your home more water efficient.

Also on Wednesday, city of Safford staff will be set up in the library’s lobby from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  They will be available to sign up any interested water customers for the free AquaHawk water monitoring service.  AquaHawk gives customers the ability to identify possible leaks and track peak water usage.

“It all has a water theme,” said Library Director Leanne McElroy. “Zumba makes you thirsty, and visiting the Leaky House and signing up for free AquaHawk water usage monitoring can help you save on your water bill.  It all works together. Seriously, we live in a desert environment.  Water conservation is important for our community and your pocketbook.  We want patrons to have resources to help them save water.  And Zumba is just good, fun exercise.”
