SAFFORD- Join the Substance Abuse Coalition and the Facing Addiction Pilot Program to find out what Graham County is doing to handle the local substance abuse situation.
Community members are invited to the annual Town Hall Meeting at the Manor House Conference Center, Thursday, March 29. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm, and will finish at 8:00 pm. There will be a viewing of the film, “Addiction is a Brain Disease” featuring Dr. Ruth A. Potee. In the video, Potee makes a case for treating addiction as a disease comparing it physical, mental, and addiction illnesses. In the video, Potee looks closely at common care techniques given to each aspect.
There will also be a question and answer period with Addiction Specialist, Mariah Hile. Information regarding local resources and the importance of sober living will also be available. For more information on Dr. Ruth A. Potee’s presentation and her bio, click here.
