Thomas Edward McBride

Thomas Edward McBride entered into eternal life on February 21, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.  Tom was born on January 3, 1938 to Burt and Lela McBride in Pima.  He attended and graduated from Pima Schools, Eastern Arizona College, and the University of Arizona.  He was a lifelong resident of Pima where he worked as a farmer, rancher, and water boss of the Smithville Canal.  Tom was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Bishop of the Pima Second Ward.  He will forever be remembered as a hard-working, honest, faithful and kind man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tom is preceded in death by: his parents, Burt and Lela McBride; and his sister, Ruth Williams.  He leaves behind: his loving wife, Jan; five children, Julie Brady (Mark), Kris (Stacie), Robert (Gabby), Karl (Stephanie), and Melynda Robinson (Joel); sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Marilyn Negrette, Diane Allred, Leburta Crockett, Reuben McBride, and Mark McBride.

Funeral services for Tom will be conducted Saturday morning, March 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the Pima L.D.S. Stake Center by his son, Bishop Karl McBride. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 2, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at the Pima L.D.S. Stake Center Relief Society Room.
