Susan Hubbard Smith was born in Safford, Arizona, on January 6, 1969. She entered into eternal life on July 22, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by her family. She was 49. She died of complications of Type 1 diabetes.
Susan is survived by: her husband, Steve; and three children, Brittany, Steven and Brandon. She was the youngest of five sisters; Diane (David) Smith, Eileen (Edward) Burgoyne, Karen (Guy) Heder and Kelsey (Joe) Armstrong. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her Father, Virgil Hubbard; and mother, Carol Carpenter Hubbard.
Susan grew up in Central, Arizona, and attended all of the Thatcher schools where she excelled academically, eventually graduating from Thatcher High in 1986. Susan will always be remembered for her sweet personality and beautiful smile.
She worked in medical records at University Medical Center in Tucson, and also worked as a CNA for eight years. Susan enjoyed her work and loved helping others. She loved her children and worked tirelessly helping them in their education, scouts, and school projects.
Funeral services for Susan will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Marana L.D.S. Church, located at 13450 N. Lon Adams Road, Marana, Arizona 85653. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., with funeral services starting at 10:00 a.m.
Graveside services for Susan will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., in the Eden Cemetery.
