St. Vincent de Paul issues plea to stop dumping junk

Saint Vincent de Paul, Safford wishes to thank all of our donors and benefactors for their ongoing support.  Your donations of food, clothing, usable household goods and furniture allow us to fulfill our Mission of “helping those most in need” in our Community.

We have, however, been experiencing “Dumping” of broken, and unsaleable Junk each weekend while we are closed.  These items cannot be cleaned, repaired or sold. This situation causes our limited staff to spend many hours cleaning up and transporting these items to the DUMP, which is where these items should be taken.

We can no longer operated in this manner and the City of Safford has mandated that we make changes.  Therefore, donations can only be accepted during normal business hours as indicated:

Tuesday thru Saturday from 8a.m. to 4p.m.

Our office phone is:  928-428-0460
Address: 221 E Main St, Safford, AZ

Despite our various signage and attempts to block off the driveway entrance, items are being dumped at both our front entrance and east entrance on the sidewalk.  We must ask folks to be more considerate.  If this continues, we could be fined and shut down!

You are on Camera.

Trespassing and theft of donated items is also on camera and you know who you are.  You will be prosecuted.

Again, we apologize to all those wonderful and generous donors who give so freely to help those in our community by donating good usable clothing, furniture, and other household item.  This message is for those who are not respecting the requests of the City of Safford and St Vincent de Paul.

Board of Directors
St Vincent de Paul Society, Safford.
