The Safford Middle School wrestling team recently attended the San Manuel Invitational. There were a total of 15 teams in attendance. SMS wreslting will be bringing home 10 total medals, an outstanding wrestler award and a first place championship trophy. Coach Philip Ornales said, “It was a great way to start our season. We had a few wrestlers underpreform in the finals but we will work on it and come back even stronger. This is an exciting bunch of wrestlers.
