The Safford Wrestling Club took 16 wrestlers to the Arizona USA Folkstyle State Championship last weekend. The goal in offseason is to get their wrestlers mat time. The team brought home 12 medals and 2 state championships. Coach Philip Ornelas said that their goal at every tournament is to bring home medals, and it was awesome to see these young wrestlers bring home some hardware! “We are excited about our future with Safford Wrestling,” Ornelas said.
