Robert Charles “Bobby” Peterman

Robert Charles “Bobby” Peterman passed away April 21, 2018.  He was born December 30, 1940 in Meadville, PA to Robert Harrison Peterman & Clara Elizabeth Ewing.

Bobby’s family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1952 due to his father’s illness.  After high school, Bobby joined the U.S. Navy and served his country honorably.

He met the love of his life, Thelma Kay Pinkston in Tucson and soon after they married.  In October of 1965, Bobby moved his family to Morenci, AZ when he was accepted into the apprenticeship program as a carpenter for Phelps Dodge.  He worked for Phelps Dodge for 18 years until the company ended the trades.  He was forced to find a new career and since cooking was his passion, Roberto’s was opened on August 13, 1982.  Bobby’s employees were his second family and he loved them all.  He also had a roofing company that he ran with his sons.

Bobby loved the outdoors where he would hunt and fish.  He really enjoyed going to the lake.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay Peterman, daughter Kathy Ann (Terrell) Peterson, and sons; Robert Cas “Robby” (Tracy) Peterman and Don Charles (Cindy) Peterman, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two sisters; Barbara (Bill) Trainor and Mara (Tony) Affe.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Clara Peterman.
