Paul Brent Richardson

Paul Brent Richardson, of Safford, Arizona, passed away November 30, 2018, at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Paul was born October 8, 1948 in Mesa, Arizona, to Anthon and Barbara Richardson,

both of which have passed on. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Turley, his high school sweetheart, and by eight of their nine children. Their children are; April (deceased), Shera Wendorf, Jacob, Austin and Isaac Richardson, Mariesa Bingham, Lorena Hanchett, Jesa Mitchell and Tara Richardson. They have 27 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Paul attended Mesa High School and Mesa Community College where he excelled in football, wrestling, gymnastics, diving and choir. He served a mission in London, England, and had a lengthy career as a commercial refrigeration technician. He worked at EAC for 11 years as a plant engineer. He also served 10 years as a volunteer fireman in Thatcher, which he loved.  One of his many talents was singing and playing his guitar for his family. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his 5 brothers in Alaska. His siblings are; Gary, LeRoy (deceased), Garth, Russ, Clay, Wade, Becky Jo Zigler, Bonnie Young and Brookie McCleave.

His loving, kind and gentle spirit endeared him to all he met.  His unconditional love for others affected many lives.  He was a man of integrity and had a devote love for his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services for Paul will be conducted Saturday morning, December 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Safford Stake Center by Bishop Mike Fox of the Safford Seventh Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 7, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Safford Stake Center Relief Society Room.
