Orlando Antonio “Tony” Luna was born July 15, 1934 in Cienega, New Mexico to Roman and Leonor Luna. Tony was surrounded by his loved ones at Mt Graham Hospital on February 12, 2017 when he quietly passed away.
Tony met and married Amelia “Maya” Gauna and they were blessed with 5 children; Gloria, Michael, Pedro, Ramon, Rachel and Paula. He was always a very happy person who loved to make others laugh.
He is survived by his children; Gloria (Joe) Arguijo of California, Ramon Luna, Rachel (Peter) Ruiz and Paula Luna all of Safford, 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters; Lydia Olivaz of Safford, Maria Stepanian of Mesquite, Texas and Maria (Gray) Taylor of Willcox.
Tony is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maya, sons Michael, Sr and Pedro Luna, his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christina Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
A luncheon will follow the services at the church hall.
