SAFFORD – The Safford Police Department has released the name of the pedestrian killed while crossing Highway 70 on Thursday, June 28, 2018. The accident occurred shortly after 8:00 PM on the 1200 West block of Highway 70. The victim is identified as Clarence Nordman. He was 64 years of age. Mr. Nordman was crossing Highway 70 from north to south on foot when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west.
The case is still under investigation.
