Mount Graham Safe House Thanks Community

The Christmas holiday is not the best time to be in a domestic violence shelter. However, the residents of Mt. Graham Safe House were the beneficiaries of a very generous community. Thanks to local businesses who sponsored Angel Trees and local families who adopted program participants, each child in the shelter during Christmas was showered with gifts. Mt. Graham Safe House is fortunate to have their participants invited each year to be guests to the Project Luke dinner in the Gila Valley. At that dinner, each child receives a brand new bicycle. This year, children who were unable to attend the dinner were still able to receive a new bike due to the high number of donors.
Mt. Graham Safe House is a private nonprofit domestic violence crisis and supportive services program for victims of domestic or sexual violence serving Graham and Greenlee Counties. The program operates a 32-bed domestic violence shelter along with an all-inclusive advocacy program. Having support can make a difference in the success of a person choosing to leave a violent relationship. MGSH exists to provide support and assistance to victims during this difficult time. The MGSH program could not continue to provide these much-needed services without the ongoing support of the community.

MT. Graham Safe House board of directors and staff would like to thank Project Luke, El Charro, Images and all other local organizations and individuals who provide support to the MGSH program and participants.
